  My name is Mrs. Sarah Tringhese and I have been teaching first grade at Struthers Elementary since 2006.  I am a graduate of Struthers High School and I went on to receive my B.S. in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Youngstown State University.  While teaching first grade for the past few years, I have earned my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Youngstown State.  I have also obtained my Special Education license during that time. Prior to teaching in Struthers, I taught preschool for 2 years in North Royalton and Medina, Ohio.  

 

  I have been married since 2004. We have one daughter who keeps us busy! A few of my hobbies include playing piano, spending time with friends and family and watching old movies. 

 

 

  Our class focuses on enhancing our knowledge while building good character.  We work very hard on creating a safe and friendly environment for all students to have a fair opportunity to succeed.  Our classroom is filled with little teachers that love to help each other learn and grow.

 

  Our curriculum is aligned with the 1st grade Ohio Academic Content Standards.  Some learning techniques that you will find in our classroom include:

                             · whole group, small group and individual instruction
