-BA in Education from Walsh College with Dual major of Early Childhood Education and
Kindergarten-Eighth Grade
-Masters Degree from YSU and class work in Literacy Collaborative
-Permanent Teaching Certificate
-Taught First Grade for 26 years in Struthers District beginning 1983-1984 school year@

I have wanted to be a teacher since a very young child. It is not only my life long job, but I truly believe it is my vocation. Teaching first grade has always been a very rewarding position for me.
Now in the Literacy position, each day allows me to reach out to more students on so many different levels.
ABOUT THE CLASS: servicing Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students
CLASS SCHEDULE:
Every day is a different day!
As Title, I service each of the 8 Kindergarten classrooms throughout the week. Instruction may be with individual students or small groups of students who need remediation or reinforcement.
Each grade level, first through fourth, has one week during the month that is dedicated to the needs of the classroom teacher’s requests. I may be working with the entire class on a given concept of learning/activity,
teaching a small group of students a Guided Reading lesson or discussing Literature Circles.
Collaborating with teachers on different grade levels and working with students with a variety of learning styles is as challenging as it is satisfying.
