ABOUT THE TEACHER

I am a graduate of Struthers High School and earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from Youngstown State University.  This is my first year as a full-time educator and I couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey as a Struthers High School alumnus.  As the Struthers Motto says, “Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat.”

ABOUT THE CLASS

In my classroom, students engage in many types of hands-on activities to enhance their understanding of the topics we cover.  All of the developmentally appropriate activities are aligned accordingly to the Ohio Academic Common Core Standards for social studies.  In Social Studies, students learn about the regions and people of the Western Hemisphere; concentrating on the history, geography, government, and economics of the Western Hemisphere and the responsibilities of a respectable, productive citizen.
