The Alliance for a Healthier Generation

The American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation joined forces in May of 2005 to create a healthier generation by addressing one of the nation's leading public health threats -- childhood obesity. Along with our co-leader Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, the Alliance works to positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child's health: homes, schools, restaurants, doctor's offices and communities.

Our Mission

The ultimate goal of this national program is to combat the problem with obesity in our society.  The Struthers High School's Alliance for Healthier Generation Committee has adopted their own philosophy of promoting healthy living. Our philosophy is to educate our staff, students, and community on the benefits of eating right and incorporating some sort of exercise routine in their everyday lives.  We believe that this will improve the over well being of our Wildcat Nation, attitude towards life by all, and help our student population to perform better in school.
