District Restart Plans for 2020-21 School Year
With input from our parent and staff surveys, discussion with county stakeholders and guidance from the State, the Struthers City Schools have developed a “3-Tier Plan” to restart and operate the School District during this COVID-19 Pandemic.
The district has chosen to start the school year with Plan 1. Plan 1 will include parent choice to attend school in the building or online.
Based on the current and changing landscape of the pandemic, these plans can change at any time. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we begin the 2020-2021 school year in such unprecedented times.

PARENTS OF ATHLETES: Please review the Notice to All Parents of Student Athletes regarding updates to the Ohio Travel Advisory. We will continue to update families are information changes.
Additionally, we have collaboratively worked with the MCESC, other Superintendents in Mahoning County and the Mahoning County Public Health Department over the course of the summer months to plan for the coming school year. Please read and review the attached letter from the MCESC and the FAQs document for more information for families.

Our district is now offering an opportunity for students to earn a Seal of Biliteracy on their electronic transcripts. This seal applies to students who are proficient in two or more languages, one of those being English, and within 15 months of graduation. A student can benefit from the Seal of Biliteracy in future employment and post high school endeavors. The requirements to earn the Seal can vary, so please contact an SHS guidance counselor for more specific information or you may visit the ODE Seal of Biliteracy webpage at ODE Seal of Biliteracy.
