Meet Mrs. Zanni

My name is Dora Zanni and I am the school counselor at SES. I have worked in Struthers since 1996 and have been the building counselor since 2020. Before becoming counselor, I taught music, third grade, intervention, and most recently, Reading Recovery in the district. I have Master’s Degrees in Education and School Counseling.

My Role as School Counselor at SES

I work alongside the wonderful teachers and staff at Struthers Elementary School who also build strong relationships with our students. This team helps me monitor the day-to-day happenings with the students in our building and quickly informs me of anything they observe throughout their day that indicates a child should be seen or needs additional assistance in adjusting to school or other environments.

About Me

I have been married since 1982. My husband is Bob Zanni, the district librarian and Digital Media teacher at the high school. Together we have three adult children.

We also have a cat who loves to bring us clumps of grass as a “treat.” (We think he is a vegetarian!) 

I enjoy spending time riding motorcycles, remodeling, landscaping and exploring photography.
