2023 ACT Testing Schedule Information

Dear Parents,

As part of Ohio’s Graduation requirements for the Class of 2024 and beyond, students are to be given a state-funded college readiness test. Struthers City Schools has selected the ACT as the test to be given to the current junior class. Therefore, on Tuesday February 28th the entire junior class including students who attend the MCCTC will be taking the ACT test during the school day. All other students at Struthers High School: freshman, sophomores, and seniors, will not have school on February 28th Seniors who attend MCCTC will have school, and transportation will run as normal. The juniors taking the test will report to the high school on Tuesday February 28th and go to the commons area for attendance check in. The junior class will then be provided breakfast in the cafeteria from 7:30 to 8:15, before being dismissed to their testing rooms. The test will take roughly 3 ½-4 hours to complete. Once the test is completed, students will be provided lunch in the cafeteria if they would like. Following lunch, students will be dismissed to go home from Struthers High School. All students that drive and those being picked up will be dismissed at that time. (Approximately 12:30pm-12:45pm) Any student requiring district transportation or those not able to be picked up will be provided a study hall for the remainder of the school day until 2:57pm. If you have questions about ACT testing or the schedule for February 28th, please contact my office at 330-750-1062 ext. 41312, or your son’s or daughter’s guidance counselor. Mrs. Dubos 330-750-1062, ext. 41394 or Mrs. Weitzman 330-750-1062, ext. 41315.

Sincerely,

Roger A. Day
