This spring high school students will be taking end-of-course exams that measure readiness for college or a position in the workforce.
These exams are a requirement for graduation. Students who take high school English Language Arts II, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, American History and American Government will take end-of-course exams in these subjects.
Struthers High School will be testing English Language Arts 2, Algebra, Biology, Government, American History, and some Geometry the week of April 4-7. We will be testing the majority of Geometry on April 11th and 12th. We will be following a two hour delay schedule April 4-7 to allow our freshman, sophomores, and juniors to take the tests and we will be following a modified full day schedule on April 12th and 13th. Juniors and Seniors not taking tests may report to school 2 hours later April 4th -7th. These schedules can be found here. You can help the process by recommending proper sleep, a good diet, and simply encouraging students to do their very best. Please help to alleviate students’ anxiety by letting them know they are prepared for the exams. If you have questions regarding testing, please contact Principal Day at extension 41312 or your child’s guidance counselor.
