Masking Policy Update

COVID-19 Policy Update

September 13, 2021

Struthers administration has been closely monitoring the policies, local and district COVID-19 case reports, and recommendations from the CDC to provide the best opportunity for our students to continue in-person learning. Due to the increase of positive COVID-19 cases and number of quarantines within our buildings, the Struthers City School District will require masks for all students, parents, and staff entering our buildings beginning Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

We make decisions based on data and guidance as it is available. It is our goal to provide the most effective learning environment possible, which we strongly believe is in-person instruction.

At this time, the requirement is for the duration of the school day, although we highly recommend the use of masks at indoor extra-curricular events.

The mask requirement will be in effect in all buildings from September 14, 2021 until further notice. We will actively monitor cases and inform the community of any changes to our policies. We thank our families, students, and staff for their cooperation and understanding.
