Spelling Bee 2020

On Wednesday December 2, Struthers Elementary School held its 18th annual Spelling Bee.

26 students participated representing 2 spellers from each Language Arts class in the third and fourth grades. The Bee lasted 7 rounds with the last two spellers, Isaiah Russell and Nicholas Liptak the last two remaining.

Nicholas Liptak was awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion with the correct spelling of "dangerous" making Isaiah Russell the school runner-up. Congratulations to both of the boys.

All 26 students performed well and demonstrated why they were their classroom winner and runner-up. The official spelling bee at YSU will be on March 13, 2021. Good luck to our representative!
