ATTENTION JUNIOR PARENTS:
As part of Ohio’s Graduation requirements for the Class of 2018 and beyond, students are to be given a state-funded college readiness test. Struthers City Schools has selected the ACT as the test to be given to the current junior class. Therefore, on February 20th the entire junior class, including students who attend the MCCTC, will be taking the ACT test during the school day.
Students will report to school and homeroom on Tuesday February 20th as normal. The juniors attending the MCCTC will report directly to the high school cafeteria where attendance will be taken. The junior class will then be transported to St. Nicholas Hall to take the ACT Test. The test will take roughly 3 ½-4 hours to complete.
Once the test is completed, students will be provided lunch. Following lunch, students will be dismissed to go home from St. Nicholas Hall. All students that drive and those being picked up will be dismissed at that time, approximately 1:30pm.
Junior students that drive are asked to park in the Garfield lot on the 20th to make dismissal easier at the conclusion of the testing. Any student requiring district transportation or those not able to be picked up will be provided a study hall for the remainder of the school day.
If you have questions about the testing or the schedule for February 20th, please contact Mr. Day at (330) 750-1062, ext. 41312, or your son’s or daughter’s guidance counselor: Mrs. Micco at (330) 750-1062, ext. 41314 or Ms. Ross at (330) 750-1062, ext. 41315.
