ARRIVAL PROCEDURES:
School begins promptly at 8:05 a.m. The front driveway is designated for buses only. Students may enter the building starting at 7:30 a.m. Those eating breakfast should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. to allow enough time to eat and avoid being tardy. All students who are dropped off by car must use the back of the building and enter through the cafeteria doors. Bus riders will enter through the front doors. The tardy bell rings at 8:05 a.m.
To ensure the safety of all students and drivers:
- Be patient and remain in the car line when dropping off students.
- Drive slowly and do not pass other vehicles in the line.
- If dropping off on the street, use the crosswalk area after the bus driveway and only on the curb side of the road.
- Never drop off students on the right side of the street when facing Elm Street.
- Have your child ready to exit the car quickly to keep the line moving.
Do not drop off your child before 7:30 a.m.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
Dismissal begins at 2:45 p.m. for Kindergarten students and their older siblings. They will be dismissed from the Kindergarten doors. Walkers in grades 1–4 will be dismissed shortly afterward.
Car riders in grades 1–4 will begin dismissal at approximately 2:50 p.m and will exit through the cafeteria doors once their name is called.
To ensure the safety of all students and drivers:
- Line up in the back parking lot.
- Remain in your car.
- Wait for your child to be released.
- Do not exit the parking lot until directed to do so.
BUS RIDERS:
Parents, please be prepared to meet your child at the bus stop early during the first two weeks of school. Bus loading will begin between 2:45 and 2:50 p.m., with buses departing around 2:50 p.m.. Please note: Bus times may vary slightly during the first few days.
