Arrival/Dismissal and Bell Schedules

SCHOOL BEGINS AT 8:05 a.m. The front driveway of the building is designated for BUSES ONLY.

Students who take part in the breakfast program may enter the building at 7:30 a.m. Students who are eating breakfast need to arrive by 7:45 a.m. so they have time to eat and are not tardy to class. All students are to be dropped off in the back of the building and enter through the cafeteria doors. Bus riders will enter through the front doors. The tardy bell is at 8:05 a.m. Temperatures will be taken as students arrive.

To ensure the safety of all students and drivers, when dropping off car riders, be patient and wait in the car line. Drive slowly and do not pass cars in the line. If you would like to drop off students at the street, do so by the crosswalk after the bus driveway on the curb side of the road. Students should NEVER be dropped off on the right side of the street when facing ELM. Have your child ready to quickly exit the car as this will help move the line along faster. Parents do not drop your child off before 7:30 a.m. 

DISMISSAL:

Dismissal will begin at 2:20 p.m. for kindergarten (and older siblings/carpool mates), followed by walkers in grades 1-4 and at 2:25 p.m. dismissal will begin for car riders.

All kindergarten car riders and their siblings/carpool mates are dismissed out of the Kindergarten doors and should be picked up beginning at 2:20 p.m. Grades 1 through 4 Walkers will be dismissed soon after Kindergarten. 

Car riders in grades 1 through 4 will be dismissed to the back parking lot beginning at approximately 2:20 p.m. Please line up in the back parking lot, remain in your car, and wait for your child to be released. Please remain in line until you are directed to proceed out of the parking lot. We ask for your patience as we work through these new procedures. Student safety and social distancing guidelines are our top priorities.

BUS RIDERS: Parents we ask that you are prepared to meet your child at the bus stop early the first two weeks. We will begin loading buses at 2:20-2:25 p.m. and they will leave the building around 2:25 p.m. Times may vary for a few days.

NOTE: Throughout the school year there may be times in which an adjusted bell schedule may need to be followed due to 2 hour delays, early dismissal, and assemblies. The below bell schedule includes the class times for days that require adjusted schedules.

For the first 2-3 days of school, students will report to their Temporary Homeroom, which will be for distribution of information and papers.

NOTE: Throughout the school year there are days in which students will be required to go to their temporary homerooms and also there may be times in which an adjusted bell schedule may need to be followed due to 2 hour delays, early dismissal, pep rallies, and testing. The below bell schedule includes the class times for days that require adjusted schedules.
