ACT Testing Information
As part of Ohio’s Graduation requirements for the class of 2018 and beyond, students are to be given a state-funded college readiness test. Struthers City Schools has selected the ACT as the test to be given to the current junior class. On March 13th the junior class will be taking the ACT test during the school day.
Students will report to school and homeroom the assigned test day as normal. The junior class will then meet in the cafeteria to be transported to St. Nick’s hall to take the ACT Test. The test will take roughly 3 ½-4 hours to complete. Once the test is completed, the students will be provided lunch. Following lunch the juniors will return to Struthers High School for dismissal.
End of Course Testing
Struthers High School students will be taking end-of-course exams that measure whether students will be ready for college or a position in the workforce. These exams are a requirement for graduation.
Students who take high school English Language Arts I and II, Algebra I, Geometry (or Integrated Mathematics I and II), Biology, American History and American Government will take end-of-course exams in these subjects. To avoid double testing, students participating in Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or College Credit Plus programs in Biology, American history and American government may take the corresponding tests instead of Ohio’s end-of-course exams in these subjects.
Struthers High School will be testing the above mentioned subjects on the dates listed in the chart below.
